Crochet Dumbbells – Amigurumi Toy with Step-by-Step Free Pattern

Materials Needed:
- 4 ply cotton yarn – Grey
- 3 mm crochet hook
- Fiberfill stuffing
- Stitch marker
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Written Pattern – Crochet Dumbbells
1. Start with the End Cap:
- MR, ch 1 - R1: 8 sc in ring (8) - R2: (inc) x 8 (16) - R3: (sc, inc) x 8 (24) - R4: (2 sc, inc) x 8 (32) - R5: 32 sc - R6: Back loops only – 32 sc
2. Build the First Ball Side:
- R7–10: 32 sc - R11: BLO – 32 sc - R12: (2 sc, inv dec) x 8 (24) - R13: (sc, inv dec) x 8 (16) - Add stuffing to one side
3. Form the Dumbbell Handle:
- R14: FLO – 16 sc - R15–26: 16 sc - Stuff the center as needed
4. Second End Cap & Shaping:
- R27: FLO – 16 sc - R28: (sc, inc) x 8 (24) - R29: (2 sc, inc) x 8 (32) - R30: BLO – 32 sc - R31–34: 32 sc - R35: BLO – 32 sc - R36: 32 sc
5. Tapering Down:

6. Finishing Touch:
Use tapestry needle to weave the yarn through front loops of the last 8 stitches. Pull to close the opening. Knot securely. To shape both ends flat, pull yarn through center using a long needle and secure both sides with a knot. Adjust the stuffing and trim excess yarn.
